Job Title: Visual Merchandiser

About Shore Decor: Shore Decor is a family-owned furniture store offering coastal-inspired designs that infuse residential and vacation homes with comfort and style.

This Position: As a Visual Merchandiser at Shore Decor, you will play a crucial role in creating visually appealing displays that showcase our furniture and home decor products. You will work closely with all team members to ensure our showroom reflects the Shore Decor brand.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement visual merchandising strategies that drive sales and meet corporate objectives.
• Implement floor moves and change displays to promote products, promotions, and seasonal themes.
• Collaborate with owners, store managers, and crew members to maintain proper visual maintenance, ensuring proper styling and product placement.
• Provide direction to support associates regarding showroom visual merchandising.
• Work with the corporate buying team to provide feedback on product performance.
• Participate in store meetings and contribute ideas.
• Stay informed about coastal design trends and incorporate them into visual displays.
• Assist with showroom opening and closing tasks, including maintaining cleanliness and organization.
• Maintain a neat, clean, and organized work and storage area
• Take proper care of all visual components, tools and supplies
• Kindly and effectively communicate and share information with team members
• Acknowledge and assist customers
• Participate in physical inventories.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of two years of professional experience in retail visual merchandising in the furniture or home decor industry.
• Strong creative skills and an eye for design.
• Strong organizational skills with excellent time management abilities
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to stand and maneuver on the sales floor for long periods, lift objects up to 50 lbs, and climb and carry an 8’ ladder
• Ability to climb, squat, kneel, crouch, bend, twist, reach, lift, grasp, push, and pull on a frequent basis.
• Ability to maintain prompt and regular attendance
• Availability to work days until 7 pm and select weekends.
